C.R.A.S.S. is a student-run local Audio Engineering Society Summit located in Webster Groves, Missouri.
This event welcomes over 300 people consisting of audio students, high school students, audio professors and anyone interested in the subject of sound. Our panelists consist of a wide variety of professionals in the audio field, including engineer for Wiz Khalifa and The Roots Paul Womack and our Keynote Speaker this year, Bob McCarthy, Director of System Optimization at Meyer Sound. We have numerous panels ranging from recording and mixing, audio for film, live sound and much more! This event is an excellent way to expand your knowledge on audio and network with professionals.
THIS YEAR'S FEATURED EVENTS:
Gear Demos: This year we will be showcasing gear such as iZotope plug-ins, Prism converters and Maselec compressors.
Student Mix Competition: There will also be a mix competition open to both high school and college students, where their mixes will be judged by seasoned professionals and will be given crucial feedback. Prizes such as headphones or plug-ins will be awarded to the top three mixes! More information can be found in the Student Mix Competition section of our website!
Recording Critiques: Attendees have the opportunity to get feedback on their personal mixes from professional engineers. Judges in the past have included Ian Corbett, Richard King, Courtney Orlando and Ben Majchrzak. Bring a USB drive with interleaved .wav files!
